How to Create Backlinks that actually bring Traffic in

It’s a fact! Quality backlinks can have a huge influence on your search engine rankings, but this task is definitely not an easy one. There’s a lot of confusion in the world of link building, and until a few years ago, webmasters and bloggers strolled to success with the help of black hat link building techniques such as automated and spam backlinking building tools. With current advancements in the SEO world, those unscrupulous techniques don’t work anymore, but there are several ways to attract clean backlinks to your blog or website.

In short, backlinks are simply votes to your website, and are extremely useful to search engines when determining your rankings. When it comes to SEO, it is not only the content of your blog or website that plays an important role, but it’s also your sites reputation online. Often referred to as incoming or inbound links, backlinks are links to your website from other website or blogs, and is an indication that your site provides relevant and trustworthy information on the keyword/topic.
Even though you may have complete control of the on-page content optimization aspect, getting a handful of backlinks depends on other webmasters efforts. However, here are a few ways to bring in backlinks the natural way, and are relatively easy to implement.

Think like a Human and not a Robot

Until the release of Google’s Penguin update, webmasters and bloggers thought backlinking was for robots. They used a link building tool to generate tons of backlinks with their keywords in the anchor text. These links basically had no substance to them, but this didn’t seem to bother people generating them. As soon as Google’s algorithms were able to detect these types of spam backlinks, websites and blogs that used them to soar to the top plummeted to low rankings or were directly delisted from its results.
We now live in an era where fully automated link building is widely denounced, and if you’re looking to get a few backlinks, you will have to put in the required efforts.

Finding Excellent Link Originating Websites

Attracting links from reputable websites is probably the only sustainable link building strategy, because they are in complete control of what sites they would like to link to. Although finding these sites may sound like a tedious task, it’s not as tough as most people make it especially if you have the right tools. SEOprofiler is all in one suite that addresses various aspects of link building. The Competitor Backlinks Tool helps you find sites that provide links to your competitors, and these are the sites you’d like to get a link from.

Another tool included in SEOprofiler is the Keywords Backlinks Tool, which helps you find link partners that are related to the theme or information of your website. In terms of SEO, this type of relative link building strategy has a higher impact on search results than associating with unrelated web pages. Hub-sites are those sites that link to more than one of your competitors, and the Hub Finder tool helps you locate them with a single click.

Hub-sites make it easy for search engines to assign your website to the right category, and when you’re in the right house, you tend to meet the right people. This simply boosts your link building efforts as your pages and their keywords will receive more attention for all the right reasons and from related websites. The Link Opportunity Finder is the last tool in the SEOprofiler suite, and generates link related search queries and automatically links to them. This is an efficient way to get good link partners as quickly as possible. This tool is also integrated with a backlink manager, which helps you keep track of all your link building activities.

Get the Backlinks yourself

Before you contact the administrator of the other website to get a backlink, ask yourself a couple of questions. Are you able to add value to the other website by submitting relative and engaging content? Would a link to your site be helpful to visitors of the other site? Write down the reasons why you think you’d be a great fit to write a guest post, and send it to the webmaster of the other site. Successful webmasters probably receive hundreds of emails from people wanting a link from their site, so the chances of getting an approval for a guest post are rather slim to none. However, here are a few tips to get that invite you’ve been waiting for.

ð Successful webmasters already know the value of healthy backlinking so do not try to tell them about the wonders it will do to the ranks of both websites. Many people have earned their success by trial and error, and by now are well aware of what’s good for them and hence do not like the extra coaching.

ð  Keep your messages short. With literally hundreds of emails to scour through in a day, webmasters do not and will not even bother reading messages that are more than a few lines long. Get to the point and tell them why they should link to your site over the rest.

ð Asking for a link from unrelated websites is not only a foolish move, but is also a great way to annoy other webmasters. The reasons these websites rank well is because they provide valuable content to their visitors, and they’re not going to sabotage their reputation by sending them in the wrong direction.

ð Make sure your websites overall design is professional and appealing, and not some sort of dubious shop.

ð Lastly but most important; using free email addresses such as Hotmail and Yahoo is completely unprofessional, and simply indicates that you are a beginner to this domain.
Keep in mind that in terms of link building, the successful formula is quality over quantity, and just a few backlinks can make a substantial difference in your link building efforts.

    1. Hey Ruchir

No there isn't a problem with using a free email address. It is not harmful at all. However it does look unprofessional and we would recommend using a paid email address.
