Outsourcing and How to Use it Effectively

This is what the big companies and top dogs do. Have you ever wondered why some phone companies, when you call up their customer service have people who are Indian or Filipino answering the phone. The big phone companies usually outsource their call centre work to external companies in India or the Philippines to save costs and serve their customers more effectively. This is in a nutshell, what outsourcing is. It usually is when you hire someone from the outside to do the work for you and you pay them a fee. Outsourcing saves a lot more time and makes you much more productive. When you outsource you can get someone more skilled then you on the job, thus producing better results. It is most likely you will outsource to someone who has expertise in his chosen field and in the long term it does save you money because you will not have as much costs.

However outsourcing does not come without its disadvantages. If you need to share private information you have a risk of exposing confidential information. Also the person that you have outsourced to may deliver the finished product late or even produce a sub-standard piece of work which you cannot use. You would not be able to physically check what he is doing and so their is less customer focus.

Hiring freelancers is one of the best decisions someone can make for their business. A freelancer is someone who works for someone as a contractor and is paid by that person to work for them.
Find whoever you are looking for when looking for a freelancer. There are many different aspects that a freelancer could help you with.

Here are some task you could outsource to a freelancer and get done much quicker. You could build a whole website, you could outsource you entire SEO, you could get your logo designed including any other graphics design work needed, get an app built completely from start to finish, get articles written, virtual assistance work, basically anything you think off, you can outsource it!

There are many websites out there that offer outsourcing and freelancing services. This ranges from hiring programmers to hiring graphics designer. You can chose how much to pay the freelancers depending on your budget. This can either be on an hourly basis or on completion of project.

Websites that offer outsourcing services include:

Elance - This is one of the most popular outsourcing websites. Here you can find everything for your business from accountants to web developers and mobile app developers. You can save a lot of money using Elance to build your business. We use Elance to maintain and develop our website.

Odesk - Odesk is an Elance alternative but generally specialises in web programming and mobile app programming. Although they do have freelancers that offer SEO services, Logo design, translators and virtual assistant.

Fiverr - Fiverr is different from normal outsourcing websites as users make money by completing mini tasks or gigs as they like to call them. This can include completing banklinks, simple SEO work, logo design, promotional work. The only catch is you have to get it done in $5. You'll be surprised at what you can get done for a fiverr.

Virtual Staff Finder - Virtual Staff Finder is a service started up by Internet Entrepreneur Chris Ducker and it helps you find a Virtual assistant for your business by from India or the Philippines. You pay them a fee and they find you the best virtual assistant according to your needs. Slightly more expensive option.

Mechanical Turks - This website is owned by Amazon however this site is similar to Fiverr. Users post HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks)  and get access to a 24x7 workforce and pay only when you are completely satisfied.

Ten Bux - Ten Bux is a website which is also similar to Fiverr however they charge $5 or $10

There are a whole bunch of other micro-task websites but they are less popular. They include; Gigme5 , Gigs Bull, Microworkers, and Fitty Town among many others.

How to get Virtual Assistants to manage your business

Want your own virtual assistant to manage your business? There are loads of people out there who are already doing this with major success and are making millions from their virtual assistants. You'd be surprised at all the tasks you can assign your virtual assistant.. A virtual assistant is basically your own personal assistant who is totally online. It is a bit like the real world, you can't run everything on your own, some things you will need help on.

Virtual employees have various skills sets, experience and knowledge and they can do general administrative work such as check email, post updates on your social media websites, research, data entry, blog management, flight bookings, article writing, design graphics and much more.

If you find a really good VA from India or the Philippines, you will find that some of them charge $3-$5 an hour (£2-£3 an hour) which is ridiculously cheap and would benefit your business so much.

Use elance, odesk, or Virtual staff finder to find virtual staff for your business and create your own empire. When you hire your VA make sure you set out clear guidelines on what they need to do and don't assume they already know something as this just creates confusion and wastes time. Make sure you give them clear instructions. Also give your VA a reasonable deadline and don't be on their back too much. This overtime will build trust with your VA and overtime as you and your VA get to know each other, you will create more of a bond.

Implementing a virtual assistant for your own business can be a very worthwhile investment as it will save a lot more time. If you use VAs to your advantage you can build an empire of workers to work under you while you do nothing. Check out this article about a couple from America who have created multinational companies with outsourcing.

We hope you enjoyed this article and hope this expanded your knowledge on outsourcing. Are you confused about outsourcing? Ask in the comment section below and we'll answer it. If you liked this article then please share it!

The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau book review

The $100 Startup: Fire your Boss, Do what you Love and Work better to Live more is a entrepreneurship book mixed with The Four Hour Workweek. The $100 Startup will tell you how to startup your own business on a little budget and how to succeed building your own business. This book tells you that you don't need a job and you can instantly change your life if you make your own business and do what you love and follow your passion.

Chris Guillebeau goes on to tell you how you do not need a masters degree and two PhD's to succeed and how the average man can build a business and work for him/herself. You do not n,eed to be a millionaire either as Chris tells the story of many people and shows case studies of average people starting businesses that have gone on to become really successful and have started their business on a budget of $100 (about £60 depending on the currency rate).

First you might want to know a bit about the author Chris Guillebeau. Chris is an American entrepreneur, blogger, and author who also published The Art of Non-Conformity. Chris was born in Portland, Oregon, USA and attended the University of Washington and graduated. Mr Guillebeau set out a goal to visit every country on the planet before 35. Chris achieved this goal and visited all 193 countries on the planet before he was 35.

The $100 Startup is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestseller and is ranked #1 on Amazon in the Entrepreneurship category. The $100 Startup provides many inspirational and motivational stories that would inspire anyone to go for it and start their own business.

For his research during this this book, Chris found 1,500 bright people who started their businesses from scratch and earning $50,000 (which is about £30,000) or more who have started with a very little budget, often $100 or less. From the 1,500 entrepreneurs Mr Guillebeau narrowed it down to the best 50 and used them as case studies. He found that although the people had no special skills, but they did find their passion and make money from it thus changing their life completely and giving them complete freedom.

He complied it into one easy to read compact book and included all the valuable lessons from the people who turned their passions into glory, Its not that you have to be particularly skilled, you just have to go for it and create that product or service that you know people will want to be and gladly pay money for. Most of the people in his case studies don't have college degrees or have tons of money, yet they still make money of their businesses.

Chris Guillebeau writes in a very funny style that keeps the audience from getting bored. This is not once of those gimmicky self help books, this is one of the books that actually helps and will change your life.

The book is split into three parts:

  • Unexpected Entrepreneurs - In this section he tells you how to turn your passion and what you love to do into what people want and would be willing to pay money for. Basically he tells you about monetizing your skills.
  • Taking it to the Streets - This is the best section in the book in my opinion. In this section Chris shows you how to raise capital for your business, launching your business and how to get customers in. Some real good information in this section and worth referencing to every once in a while.
  • Leverage and Next Steps - The last section is all about learning how to test pricing and positioning the business, creating a franchise out of the business and growing past your goals and knocking failure out.
If you want to start your own business and want to find out how to turn your passion in to your business then this book is for you. It includes some excellent information and is well written. The case studies included are inspirational and make you want to take action. This book might even change your life...

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki - Book Review

First published in Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is a personal finance and investment book. The book teaches you how it is necessary to have a education but not necessarily a school education. He tells the story of his two dads, one being his actual dad who is poor and the other being his best friends dad who is a multi-millionaire, and he tells us the lessons he learned from both of them.

Robert T. Kiyosaki is a best selling author, motivational speaker, invester and businessman. He has written over 15 books having sold over 26 million copies. He has also created his own 'Cashflow' board game and he has also created his own range of CDs and software in his 'Rich Dad' series.

Robert Kiyosaki gained major popularity for his books and his teachings. Will Smith said in an interview he was teaching his son about financial responsibility by reading this book. Oprah Winfrey endorsed this book on her show while billionaire Donald Trump co-wrote some books with Mr Kiyosaki entitled Midas Touch and Why we want you to be Rich

In April 2012 Robert Kiyosaki filled for cooperate bankruptcy after losing $24 million and ordered to pay it over to the Learning Annex founder, Bill Zanker. Apparently Bill Zanker made the brand blow up and increased its popularity to what it is and when it came to paying up Kiyosaki never did.

The book tells us about Kiyosaki's upbringing in Hawaii, USA and his personal story. It also teaches us the difference of upbringing of how rich parents would bring up and their children and how poor parents would bring up their children. He explains the difference between assets and liabilities and He goes on to tell us how rich people get their money to work for them while poor people work for their money. He explains all about the basics of finances while also writing in a great style.

Robert has a great way of writing while mixing in anecdotes about his personal life and other peoples lives and also mixing in great lessons along the way.

The author tells us the importance of entrepreneurship and investing. The book focuses on investing and he tells us how important it is to invest in various different things such as real estate and the stock market. Starting off Robert Kiyosaki had great difficulty getting the book Rich Dad Poor Dad published because all the publishers were turning him down while even Barnes and Noble initially refused to stock the book. Slowly it was picked up by the NY Times Best Seller List. Kiyosaki also contributes part of his success to radio appearances and public speaking.

However many people claim the book is full of inaccuracies, wrong information and unrealistic expectations such as start investing from a really young age. He does teach us that the education system is flawed as they don't tell you how to take care of your personal finance.

Throughout the book he contrasts what his poor dad says to his rich dad. For example, if his poor dad say "Love of money is the root to all evil" but his rich dad says "The lack of money is the root to all evil", he follows his rich dads advice and makes money but says his poor dad was morally correct.

If you found this review interesting then please buy the book from Amazon.

How to use META Description Tags

Don't know anything about SEO? SEO can be very confusing and the best of people can get bemused about it. Not to worry, we are here to explain in more in depth and help you out on this topic.

SEO is one of the most important things you can do when creating a new website. Search Engine Optimization or SEO in short is used to bring more traffic to your website through search engines. The more SEO you do for your website, the higher search engines will rank your page and the more page hits your website will receive.

Search Engines are kinda like phone directories like The Yellow Pages. Like The Yellow Pages these Search Engines categorize each website an making sure that the websites are correctly sorted. Then when someone searches for your website, product or service, they will come up with your name and website and you will be able to supply them

The good ol' Yellow Pages

In this article we will talk about META description tags and what each of them do and why you need to use them. People often get confused between META description tags and META keywords. META keywords are keywords that are used to describe the site. META keywords used to be used in SEO but now they are no longer used by Google. A META description tag in HTML is the 160 character snippet used to summarize a website's content. Search Engines use META descriptions in search engin results to let users know what the website is about. For example online auction site eBay's meta description is;
"Buy and sell electronics, cars, fashion apparel, collectables, sporting goods, digital cameras, baby items, vouchers, and everything else on eBay"
The META description used for eBay details everything that eBay do and all the main things you can find on eBay such as 'electronics', 'cars', 'digital cameras' and 'vouchers', at the end it says 'and everything else on eBay'. This means that eBay have and sell near enough anything and that you can buy anything and everything from eBay.

If your website is for instance, about heavy metal music, your META description would be something like;

"Get all the information you want about all the top heavy metal bands and music. Find the artist and album you are looking for and listen to songs for free."
As you can see from this description the words 'heavy metal' have been inserted into the description as this is one of the primary keywords that people would use. Other words such as 'music' , 'artist' and 'album' have also been included while at the end it states all songs can be listen to for free.

It is compulsory to use a META description tag because it gives users an insight into the website and the user can read a little summary about the website and find out more about it. This little paragraph may be the difference between the user clicking on your website or not. In the META description you should insert keywords into the paragraph while ensuring not to go overboard on using too many.

Think of the META description as an advertisement for your website and you have to sell your website and tell people what it is about. What would you write about your site? How would you describe your website? These are both very good questions and you should know the answer to them. The META description is the thing that people read in the Search engine result page or SERP and use to judge whether a site is worthy of clicking on or not. When writing your META description make sure you use your primary keywords and include them into the META description. Also try to include action verbs that will make your readers want to do it. For example; include words like read, do, learn, move, run, etc. Including words like these will make the reader want to do it, its like a magic trick.

Avoid using too many keywords and the same words and trying to stuff it in all together without it making coherent sense. Read through what you have written for the META description, if it doesn't make sense to you then how is it going to make sense to someone else reading it.

Keep in mind that META descriptions have nothing to do with whether your website is ranked higher in search engines like Google and search engines completely disregard META description tags when considering the ranking of a website. Check out this article by Google and it tells you all about it.

However it isn't always necessary to write a META description tag for your website. If you don't write a META description tag for your website then the search engines will just extract the best keywords from your website that describe your site and use them. This isn't usually a bad thing either. Normally we use this rule to judge whether to implement META tags or not. If the article contains less than four keywords than it is wise to use META tags, if you have more than four keywords then it is best to let it go with the search engine and leave out the META tags.

We hope you have found this article useful and if you need any more help or would like to add your thoughts about META descriptions and SEO, please comment. Thank you for taking the time to read this article.

The Magic of Thinking Big - David Schwartz - Book Review

An excellent Internet marketer may need some help from time to time. This book put simply will do more then just help you, it will help you achieve your goals, help you manage better, find greater happiness and much more. The Magic of Thinking Big will actually get you to think about the way you currently perform certain tasks and will help you become more productive about it. First we may need an introduction on the author.

David J. Schwartz was an American motivational coach and speaker and was born in 1927. He was a professor at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He also had his own consultancy firm which specialised in leadership development and he had a Ph.D.

With over 4 million copies sold worldwide this is one of the most popular books on motivation, setting goals and achieving what you want. This book teaches you how to get the most out of family, work life and your business in terms of getting to where you want. The Magic of Thinking Big  uses many different useful methods and also helps you to change your mindset and attitude towards working.

The book is split into several chapters and each chapter focuses on improving different traits. Some of the things you can learn from this book include; how to build your confidence and overcome fear, how to take action, thinking like a leader and getting over procrastination while also dealing with many more problems.

This book is not just a shelf filler and is certainly not one of your standard average 'self-help' books that claim to do many things but don't do anything. This book will change your life if you implement the things mentioned in this book and actually take action.

Schwartz explains in his book how our mind is really powerful and if we use our mind properly we can achieve success and financial freedom. Schwartz is a very skilled writer and uses storytelling to explain his points further to the reader and provide examples. He keeps the reader interested and his writing style is a joy to read.

In the start of the book the author explains the importance of implementing positive beliefs and how you should always remain optimistic. Remember the sporting giant, Adidas's slogan 'Impossible is Nothing', this book tells you to think like that. If you don't think you can do it, then you probably can't. When you start thinking you can do it and be successful, that is when you will truly succeed.

This book also tells you about the different types of excuses that people come out with such as "I'm not good enough, or "I'm too old/young" . The author tells us these excuses are just little reasons that our brain comes up with for not wanting to do something. He also tells you how to deal with this quickly and effectively.

The book is packed full of helpful information and nuggets of advice and this is a very valuable book. As an internet marketer, this book will help you come over self-doubt, increase your confidence, give you motivation to implement your ideas and make you think properly. This book literally pays for itself in value and is very informative. This book contains exercises at the end of each chapter, that the reader can use to apply the principles learned to yourself. At the end of each chapter, the author provides summaries which are useful. If you liked this review, then buy the book now, you won't regret it!

Now to end this review with a quote by Doctor David J. Schwartz;

"Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution.”

What is Passive Income and How to Achieve it

Passive income is a magical concept for some people. It is the act of making an automated income that requires little to no effort to maintain. This is a dream to most people and not many people achieve this. Having money pour into your bank account while you are sleeping sounds amazing. To understand passive income you will have to first know the two different types of income.

There are two types of income that exist, and that is Passive income and Active income. Active income is when you trade time for money and you have to be present actively to earn that money. For example, a job is a form of active income as you have to be present to earn money and you cannot be elsewhere other than your place of work. You have to spend time and effort for money. Active income is not a very good concept and can be seen as being a slave to a large cooperation for the rest of your life and not achieving what you want. You've heard the saying 'You will never get rich working for someone else' and this is true to some extent.

Another form of income is Portfolio income and this is all the income that is made through investing. This can be seen as passive as you are not presently there and still earning money while not being there. Examples of this include; Rental income from properties, stocks, bonds, trading, mutual funds, buying and selling real estate and buying and selling other assets such as high valued antiques or cars. Some websites that may help you are;

Here are some of our recommended books that will help you on your path to understanding portfolio income;

Passive income is money that you earn when you are not present and the money is occurring while you do not have to be there. Passive income is when you achieve more money then effort or time used. Passive income should require little to no effort to maintain and can include many things. Passive income includes income from things like; selling information products, earning money from book royalties, writing or ghost-writing a book, writing and earning money from a blog, writing articles for websites such as ehow and earning money, affiliate marketing, etc. The key idea with passive income is making multiple sources of income so you can reap the rewards more and also if one income is slacking, the other incomes will make up for it.

Try a few incomes together and see if it helps build your passive income up. A good thing to do is look at examples of websites and owners that are already achieving passive income. Some website owners actually post their full income on their website, you can use these stats to see what works well and what doesn't. Some example of websites that make passive income are;

A newspaper ad from the olden days on how to make more money. It's totally different now, isn't it?

Forums are another good source on how to make passive income online and how to make money. Forums are usually contributed by many users who are already successful in making passive income online and they share their experiences and help other users out. There are a lot of bullsh*t techniques on some of these forums but among the bullsh*t, you will find some pretty brilliant ideas. Some forums that are on the passive income topic are

Books are really helpful on finding new information. Some of our most recommended books for making passive income online are;

Once you achieve passive income, you can afford anything!

25 Reasons to Write a Business Blog

business blogging
Without doubt, business blogging is the most powerful and cost effective marketing tool I have ever encountered. It’s also extremely enjoyable. Business blogging is a marketing tactic that uses blogging as a tool to increase online visibility of a website and increase traffic. A website may have a blog about a certain subject and write about that certain subject. For example; Twitter and Facebook both have personal business blogs that increase online visibility of their site.
Here are 25 reasons, why I recommend business blogging to you.
  1. Business blogging encourages you to keep learning, so you have something useful to share.
  2. Business blogging can generate regular (daily), targeted business leads. The caveat here, is that you need to learn how to write well and how to market your blog.
  3. Business blogging is the best way to build a huge, targeted, professional network. You don’t need Linkedin or any other network, when thousands of people already know who you are, exactly what you do and how to contact you.
  4. Business blogging allows you to reach people… lots of people, with your message. That’s because blogging scales to infinity. In other words, a post can reach one person or a million people, yet it still takes you the same amount of time to write it.
  5. Business blogging is more fun than watching prime-time TV.
  6. Business blogging is also far more rewarding than watching TV.
  7. Business blogging publicly demonstrates your ability to show up regularly. Reliability is highly valued in business.
  8. Business blogging provides a showcase for your knowledge. This is enormously valuable. People who hire me, know all about my work long before they ever speak with me.
  9. Business blogging increases your professional profile, as new people discover you and your work every day.
  10. Business blogging gives you the best tool on the planet, for building a community or tribe.
  11. Business blogging gives you a voice. If you have something important to say, people will hear you. This is especially the case if you stick with blogging, for long enough to build a large readership. How long does that take? About a week longer than the typical blogger is prepared to invest, before she gives up.
  12. Business blogging sometimes inspires people to email you, to say how your work helped them. This is far more rewarding than most people imagine.
  13. Business blogging makes you a more informed reader, as you understand the work and creativity that people put into their written work.
  14. Business blogging causes you to have to regularly dig down deep, really deep, to find something worth sharing. That sounds like hard work, but just as lifting weights builds your physical muscles, digging down deep builds your mental muscles.
  15. Business blogging makes you a better communicator. I’m convinced that regular blogging has improved my communication skills across the board, not just in writing.
  16. Business blogging is a great way to meet new people, especially if you publish a link to your email, on every post and page of your site as I do. (It’s on the sidebar.)
  17. Business blogging makes you a lot better at asking questions.
  18. Business blogging also encourages you to question your own opinions, to ensure they stand up to scrutiny and are worthy of your readers.
  19. Business blogging encourages you to regularly do research, increasing your own knowledge base.
  20. Business blogging can get you recognised in the mainstream press
  21. Business blogging allows you to build fantastic contacts.
  22. Business blogging teaches you to look at things from more than one perspective.
  23. Business blogging provides you with a creative outlet, which helps you grow as a person. In fact, blogging has been the most powerful professional development tool I have ever used or researched.
  24. Business blogging ensures you remain constantly curious… this is priceless.
  25. Business blogging allows you to build a business asset, which grows in value with every passing week.

As well as telling ou about all that he also tells you how to get your savings to work harder than you do and explains all about taxes

Now this isn't like one of those books that tells you to ditch your daily Starbucks coffee fix for 7 years and after that you should have enough money saved up. Instead it is spilt up into different sections and is meant to be used as a 6 week program. Week by week he will teach you how to;

Week 1 - How to use your credit card to your advantage and learn how to get those expensive fees waived.
Week 2 - How to set up bank accounts that are high in interest and wont cost you a penny to make. He actually gives you the most banks that give the highest interest rate and the banks he uses.
Week 3 -  In this week he shows you how to invest and the different things you need to do to invest, he shows you can do it with as little money as possible.
Week 4 -  Learn how to make your money stretch more and make your money go to the right places while also figuring out how much you spend.
Week 5 - Automation. Put everything on automatic, in this section he show you how to link everything together and create an infrastructure that will never fail.
Week 6 - In the final week he tells you why investing isn't the same as plying in the stock market and how to exploit the market.
Ramit Sethi tells us how you don't have to be a rocket scientist or you don't even need more money than Donald Trump to get started. In fact he tells you how to get started by spending next to nothing. If you just implement half of what he says in this book, you will see results.

The thing is this book is intended for the American market so it will help tax laws according to America and not any other country. So you will have to use your own countries tax laws if you live in a country other then America.

Getting this book might not change you life but it will certainly increase your financial knowledge and stop you from falling from a financial pitfall. This book does have a bold title and makes a lot of claims however the title looks like a marketing ploy designed to get people to buy the book. The book contains a lot of good advice and we recommend this book as it is very helpful and will increase your financial knowledge.

This book certainly isn't a scam

The Four Hour Workweek - Tim Ferriss - Book Review

The Four Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich is a New York Times Bestselling book which entails how the author Timothy Ferriss escaped from his dreaded office job in which he was overworked and underpaid and how he transformed his entire lifestyle. He went from earning $40,000 a year to $40,000 a month and he shows you how you can take 'mini-retirements' and completely redesign your lifestyle, just like he does.

Tim Ferriss's book has been a major success with it being translated into 35 languages and has sold more than 1.3 million copies worldwide, which is an impressive feat for any author. Among being a best-selling author Ferriss also holds numerous amounts of records and is an angel investor in many online companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, Shopify among many other companies.

The average person lives a life that he doesn't enjoy or actively want to do. They work in jobs that they don't want to do, yet have to do it as a necessity to earn money and survive. Some actually hate going to work and dread every second of work. Why is that? According to statistics we spend 1/3 of our lives working. One third of your life is a lot, right? So why spend so much time doing something you hate and at a place you don't want to be. Time is one of the most valuable things we possess and we cannot get time back, Tim Ferriss tells us how we can make more use of our time and spend more time on the things that we want to do.

Tim does discuss some unorthodox methods and this and some things in this book you will think 'What is the point of doing this?' However he has many good tips and tricks or 'life hacks' as he calls it.

He explains how he uses the 80/20 rule to become more productive and get more done and how you should also be using the 80/20 principle. The 80/20 principle is when you do 20% of something to get 80% of the results. For example; if you had your own business you should focus on the top 20% of your customers to generate 80% of your profit. The 80/20 rule or Pareto Principle was discovered by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto. Using the 80/20 rule helps you get 'sh*t' done.

The book is split into four different sections and each section Tim Ferriss explains each section in detail. He uses the acronym DEAL;

Definition - In this section Tim explains how to get over fear and insecurity's about work, how to see past other people and how to get to where you want. He explains how it is society has made it acceptable for us to be working at jobs we don't like and that we shouldn't do that.

Elimination - In this section he talks about eliminating all the things you waste your time over and improving your time management and efficiency in getting things done. He talks about applying the 80/20 Rule (explained above) and he tells us that we should focus on the tasks that would benefit you. He says that a person is not lazy for working less rather he is working smart and efficient while getting the same amount of things done.

Automation - Here he talks about creating a business and creating multiple sources of income. He includes many techniques and includes a lot of advice in this section. This section alone would be worth the price of the book in my opinion. He lists techniques such as; Google AdSense, Adwords, Amazon Affiliates, Dropping Shipping and Outsourcing among many many others. Outsourcing is emphasised a lot through out the book and as it makes you save a lot more time. Your business can run on autopilot without you having to do any of the work and you still reap the benefits and receive more money in your bank account. Think about it, paying someone in India or the Philippines for $3-$10 an hour to be your virtual assistant. A virtual assistant can almost do anything you want regarding your business. Some of the things a VA can do are making and creating a website, HTML Coding, SEO, Advertising, Article Writing, Website Management, etc.

Liberation - After you have freed up your time and don't have to work 9-5 anymore, Tim Ferriss shows you what you can do with your free time. He gives you a glimpse of his lifestyle and show you what is possible. He goes on holidays in Argentina, Brazil, London, Europe among many other cities, continents and countries. He shows you how you can learn many different skills such as learning different languages, martial arts, or learning any other skills. He tells you how you can live anywhere in the world and your job should not limit where you are able to live in the world.

Tim Ferriss's book is an interesting read and is fill of many helpful tips and tricks you can use to get out the office and create your own business and do what you love. Albeit some of the things he mentions in the book are unorthodox, it is still a helpful book and a MUST read!

2 Reasons to get into Online Marketing

Are you looking to enter the online arena where things are stranger than
quantum mechanics? Lol well not as weird as quantum physics, but online
marketing is quite tough, but it’s also alluring. The possibilities of the internet
are many, and if you’ve heard about it from a friend or visited a website
talking about marketing on the internet... I’m sure you know what I mean.

There are many benefits of marketing online, and when compared to
traditional marketing offline, online marketing wins almost anytime. In today’
s lesson, I want to share with you some of the reasons why you should
consider internet marketing - even if you don’t know how to roam to sites
other than AOL. Here’s the first reason:1) Get started TODAY. Yup. You can go to a site like Hostgator.com. Register a domain and website.
Then head on over to Clickbank.com. Clickbank is an affiliate marketing
program that allows you to select products to promote for free. The only
thing is that you will probably receive a 50%-60% of every sale that you
make. But in return, you don’t have to create a product, write sales copy, or
have a merchant account. All of that is taken cared of with Clickbank.

Along with these benefits, the actual marketing part is easy. Go over to a
site like Google Adwords, sign up with them, create an ad, enter keywords
relevant to your site, and start receiving traffic to your website within 24
hours. All of this is IMPOSSIBLE with offline marketing. This is one of the
reasons people gravitate to internet marketing. Here’s another reason:2) It’s low cost. If you don’t know much about marketing online, it’s okay. You can test out a
campaign and see if it works, and if it doesn’t, just scrap it and move on to
the next niche. Never get attached to a product or service. You want to be
the one in the small niche where people are starving for your information.

If you wanted to advertise on a high traffic website, it would only cost you
around $50. For this price in the offline world, $50 would be the price to run
a classified ad that no one takes seriously. But in the online world, the whole
mindset and perception is totally different.

This personally is one of the greatest reasons why I enjoy internet
marketing. You don’t have to risk much, and it’s easy to earn money while
not doing much at all. So as you can see, getting started isn’t as complex as
it may seem to be. If you’ve been to an internet marketing seminar and are
still lost as to what to do… invest in more knowledgeable information in the
form of ebooks so that you can become a pro at what you’re doing.

With that being said, I think it’s safe to say that online marketing is
something that you should get involved in. Make sure you’re in a great niche,
and start marketing your business as hard as you can starting right away. Good luck with using these tips to jumpstart your online marketing
campaign.

Paid Advertising Vs Free Advertising

How do you feel about marketing on the internet? Is it something that is
tough or complex for you to do? Have you spent endless amounts of money
on courses and ebooks that you’re just looking for a real way to make money
online? If so, then you should know that you can make money with ANY
online business opportunities… the thing that will make you profitable is your
marketing strategy.

It doesn’t matter what you sell. If you can’t get traffic or get people to sign
up for your free email newsletter, how do you expect to make money when it
comes to offering people something that costs something? This is something
that you need a good answer to. Some people ignore this fact, and because
of it, their business doesn’t succeed.

To make money online, you need to make “internet marketing” your number
1 priority. If you sell ebooks, physical products, affiliate products, or even
services… you won’t get 1 measly sale if you don’t focus on getting people to
your website. And it takes alot of work. Now you can easily negate this with
paid advertising, but when the funds run out, so does your traffic.

There is a debate of whether paid advertising is better than free advertising,
and vice versa. My position on this point is that you should use both. But if
your advertising budget isn’t large, I would suggest advertising on pay per
click search engines (like Google Adwords”), and pay $0.10 cents on each
click that you get.

This way you don’t risk it all, and you can get a reliable number of sales each
and every month from this medium alone. I personally do more free
advertising than paid advertising. With paid advertising such as PPC, you
could easily get into a bidding war with another advertiser, and you will end
up paying way more than you can afford. So instead of at least breaking
even, you’re LOSING lots of money on each sale.

Can you imagine losing money on each sale? Depending on your loss, and
prices of your follow up products… it could probably take you around 2 or 3
more sales JUST to break even and recoup your investment when advertising
to your prospect. This is why I don’t put much stock into paid advertising.
Free advertising is sufficient, and is something that can bring you endless
traffic forever without any more work for you.

Now while free advertising is effective, it can sometimes take a long while to
work. But if you’re promoting your product or service on a site like Youtube,
you may be able to see immediately hits to your videos and your websites
altogether. This is the power of free marketing, and I think Youtube is a
medium that can get you a ton of sales in a short period of time.

The more you work at your business, the more it’ll be likely to succeed. If you
don’t remember anything from me, just keep that previous sentence in mind.
Good luck with using these tips to promote your business effectively
today.

7 Things You Can Learn From Highly Successful People

Feels good, doesn't it?

Success. Many people want it but the fact of the matter is that not many people achieve it. Most people do not know the traits that are required to become successful neither do they want it hard enough. Successful people want success more than anything and they will do anything it takes to achieve it, they will not make excuses, they will just do it.

In this article we will list the different things that successful people do and the things you can learn from these highly successful people. Be sure to implement the things these successful people do because it will make your life more fulfilling and much more productive. Lets get started:

7. Never Give Up

Successful people never ever give up. Whenever they are faced with obstacles they surpass them and remove all barriers. Even when faced with failure or rejection, they never give up. Famous failures include Walt Disney who got fired from a newspaper firm for lacking imagination and having no original ideas. Kind of ironic, isn't it? He went on to revolutionise the American animation industry and created a billion dollar empire. Learn from Michael Jordan's quote, "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed"

6. Always be Learning

This is a very important one in my opinion. Most people think if they get to a certain stage in their life, they will stop learning. But learning is a lifelong process. It doesn't matter if your 6 years of age or 60, you should always be learning. Ask any successful person and they will tell you they are continuously learning and trying to improve themselves. Learning and improving can be done in many ways, through books, audio tapes, seminars, videos, magazines, etc.

5. They dream BIG

They have big dreams and do not settle for anything else. They make sure thy get what they set out to get. If they want something, they will get it. And you have to adapt the same philosophy. Back in 1976, a much younger Arnold Schwarzenegger was doing an interview for his movie 'Stay Hungry' , when a journalist asks him what he plans to do now that he has retired from bodybuilding. His reply, "I’m going to be the number-one box-office star in all of Hollywood.” Now back then this idea was farfetched. Here's a man who is not originally from America and has an accent. But he went on to become an International action superstar with hits such as The Terminator and Predator. Here's a clip of a guy doing his best Schwarzenegger impression.

4. Always Positive

They always stay positive. No Matter how bad it gets, successful people always stay positive because they know that it will get better for them and a bad situation is only temporary. Staying positive helps you worry less about the bad stuff and start getting more productive and actually taking action. A wise basketball player once said "Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation", that wise basketball player was Michael Jordan.

3. Take Action

Taking action means actually doing something and working. That means whatever you are working on it gets done. That is what Taking action is. Without taking any action, you would not get anything done and stay unproductive. Action is necessary. Do not procrastinate as this is one of the WORST things you can do.

2. Break the Rules

Now this doesn't mean break the law or do anything that would get you detained and arrested, it means don't do the normal and make sure you do different things. Follow what Tim Ferriss author of The Four Hour Workweek does and go against the norm. Do something completely different and break all the rules. If you want to be successful, you are going to have to not do what everyone else does and do something else.

1.Passion

You will need to be very passionate about whatever it is you do. Passion is a sense of love for what you do. So if you are not passionate about something, there isn't no real point of doing it. Successful people are always very passionate. Successful people who are passionate include; Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, J.K Rowling, Will Smith and Oprah Finery among many, many others. Steve Jobs explains why you need passion better in this short video;

So there you have it! You can learn many things from successful people and can improve and better both your business and yourself if you follow these simple steps and take away the lessons learnt from this article. We hope you appreciate this article and trust you to share the article to your friends and family via Twitter, Facebook or the many other social networking sites.

Understanding what Copywriting is

Copywriting is the act of writing a persuasive sales letter or page, brochure, leaflet or anything in fact that persuades the customer to buy the product you are trying to sell. This is a very hard skill to master however once you master this skill it will be very easy for you to sell products online. An example of a excellent copywriter is Kelly Felix who was creator of The Rich Jerk. Here is a little video of an advertisement for The Rich Jerk:

Kelly Felix used successful copywriting techniques and at his peak was making millions of dollars. Becoming a good copywriter and writing something good is an art. Write a good sales page and you could persuade thousands of people to purchase your product, however write a bad sales page and you could lose more than just customers.

Here are some sure-fire ways you can become a good copywriter and sell more.

What makes a good copywriter

Simplicity

Simplicity sells. No fancy gimmicks and tricks. Just keep it simple and share the main statistics and facts. Get to the point. For example, Apple have simple commercials that are easy to understand.

What is the iPad Commercial by Apple

Conversational Approach

A good copywriter makes it sound like he is actually involving the reader and talking to him. He makes it sound like he is speaking directly to him and he is in the room with him. For example, 'I was very fat before, I know how you feel, I used to feel like this until I used Rat Poison, it changed my life."

This helps you find common things with the reader and makes the reader more comfortable as they think you have been through the same problem. Use this tip effectively and watch the number of sales for your product go up.

NLP

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programing and is a phycology method used to program the mind. If you use specific set of words you can persuade people to do and buy things more. If you use words like 'Close your Eyes', 'Imagine', 'Feel like you are here', those are all words that will persuade the user to purchase your product. When writing your sales pitch try involving all five senses in some way.

Be Honest

Sometimes being honest works, and with copywriting if you honestly tell your users the benefits and features that come with buying your product, then you may receive an increase in sales.

A Brilliant Example of an Honest and Simple Ad

Make it Sound like they are Saving Money

Everybody likes saving money, right? So let your users know they are saving almost half price of the original price of the product and get them to feel privileged they are receiving it for that much. For example, "50% off this product, ends tonight, you don't want to miss it!"

Your Turn

It is now your turn to make a mark on the map. Make a good sales page and start selling your product. You know how to do it, now all you have to do is implement what you have learnt. Shouldn't be hard. If you have any of your own tips, please share it with us in the comment section. Also please share this article with your friends, family, cat and dog, Share it with anyone and everyone. Spread the Word!

Affiliate marketing is basically when you advertise a companies product on your website and if a user clicks and purchases the product, you receive commission. A good way of using affiliate marketing is to write product reviews and offer an affiliate link for your users to purchase the product.

Here are a list of companies that offer affiliate marketing programs:

PPC Advertising Networks

Pay per Click advertising is when third party companies advertise on your site. You have to paste a tiny HTML code onto your website and you will start earning money from advertising. This is by far one of the most popular methods to make money online. Google Adsense is one of most popular PPC advertising networks but there are many other advertising networks you could use to monetize your website.

Here are some of the companies that offer PPC advertising programs:

You do not need a publisher anymore to publish your own book. Anyone can write and self publish their own book Find a good topic to write about and research it well and compile a great book. A good technique is to outsource the work to someone else and still profit. Some good websites to outsources your work are: www.elance.com and www.odesk.com. It is a great way to make money online because once you submit and upload your book if successful you can make tons of money. Banner Advertising

Instead of using Google AdSense or some other PPC advertising network, you can sell your own advertising space. This way it allows you to cut out the middleman and stop giving unnecessary commission while you can also decide your own rates.

However you will need a big audience and a lot of page views for people to be interested in advertising your website and your rates would have to be competitive. Here are some links to help you out with finding advertisers for your website:

Paid Reviews

Sponsored reviews are pretty much self explanatory. The company pays you for putting reviews on any company, product or service. So you have to write while they are paying you. Simples.

There are many different companies out there that offer sponsored reviews and while it is a very profitable method to make money, many site owners do not like using this method as they would be writing a biased review and it would affect the reputation of the site.
